Chinese loquat

Loquats are fruits native to China, valued for their sweet, floral flavor with notes of apricot and peach.  They are low in sodium and rich in vitamin A, vitamin B6, dietary fiber, potassium, and manganese, making them a nutritious choice. Loquats are typically eaten fresh, but the seeds should be removed before eating.  The thin skin is edible, though some prefer to peel it.  For the best flavor and texture, please pre-order—loquats are best picked as they ripen.  Once harvested, ripe loquats can be stored in plastic bags in the refrigerator for several weeks.
